Geopolitical ambition

Geopolitical ambition, or, more plainly stated, desire to rule the world, is just the sort of thing that could drive a small yet bloodthirsty group of power-crazed madmen to undertake something like the September 11 attacks. Can we find any evidence that the attacks somehow enabled anybody's grand plan for world domination? It turns out we can!
