Giuliani statement

Giuliani was in Building 7 in his "Command Center", and he told Peter Jennings on ABC News that: "We were operating out of there [the Command Center] when we were told that the World Trade Center was gonna collapse, and it did collapse before we could get out of the building."

As Griffin notes, he must have meant the first tower, i.e., the South Tower. It couldn't have been Building 7, because he was in Building 7, and he wasn't crushed. It wouldn't have been the North Tower, because they would already have been gone after the first collapse. So this means he was told the first tower was going to collapse, before anybody had any pancake theories, before anybody believed that fire could make a steel skyscraper collapse for the first time in history. Somebody knew and somebody told him.

No matter what may be believable in retrospect, at the time it was absolutely not obvious, nor anticipatable, that the Towers would collapse. Steel skyscrapers do not collapse in a free fall from a fire. At least, none ever had so far in history. The fires were dying down. The buildings had stabilized after the impacts of the planes. And suddenly whoomp, down they came. Unpredictable. Shocking. Except somebody knew, and told Giuliani. That's rather suspicious, if you ask me.
