Bush connections to WTC security

Summary

Little-known fact: W's little brother Marvin P. Bush was a principal in Securacom, the company that did security for the World Trade Center, from 1993 to 2000. The company did security for the WTC from 1996 all the way up to September 11.

Wirt D. Walker III, a cousin of W, is also a principal in the company, which has now been renamed to Stratesec. Walker was CEO from 1999 to 2002 and as of this writing is the current chairman of the board.

Just a little weird. The company's work has not been subjected to any 9/11-related investigations.

Analysis

This is another one of those "little" issues that seems suspicious but fails truly to satisfy. It's fishy, but it's no smoking gun. There's a sort of six degrees of separation thing where you could probably trace anybody's relatives to Securacom if you tried. OK, it's fishier than that, but it's just not all that suspicious. I have to reserve the big ratings for the really juicy stuff.

Bottom line, me, I give it:

not very suspicious
